Multiplication

Hi, Shayna here. Today we were reviewing our multiplication tables. We got laminated worksheets with whiteboard markers and a die (Everyone got different sizes). Some people worked in pairs, and some others worked alone. Here is a picture of me doing multiplication in class:

Ice Cream Experiment

Ingredients:

  • ¾ Cups of cream
  • 2 tbs. Sugar
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 cups ice
  • ⅓ cups kosher salt
  • 1 large ziplock
  • 1 Small ziplock
  • Plastic spoons

Process

  • First, we each got a small and a large ziplock bag
  • Then, we each got cream, vanilla extract, and sugar
  • After, we got ice and salt in our big bags
  • Finally, we put the small bag in the big bag and shook it for 7 – 9 mins

Reflection

My ice cream turned out as this creamy mixture, like whipped cream. I gave my ice cream to someone else, and he liked it. I think it was the best ice cream I could’ve made.

In this week’s parashah, פָּרָשָׁה וָאֵרָא, we learned that listening to listen to others/Paying attention to them is very important.

But Moses spoke up and said, “What if they do not believe me and do not listen to me, but say: יהוה did not appear to you?”

יהוה said to him, “What is that in your hand?” And he replied, “A rod.”

[God] said, “Cast it on the ground.” He cast it on the ground and it became a snake; and Moses recoiled from it.

This parashah teaches us to listen to others.

For example, when someone is trying to talk to you, you listen to them and pay attention to them.

When you ignore them, they will feel frustrated.

They might be hungry of they might need help with something.
